Biker dies in Quezon road accident

LUCENA CITY – A cyclist died in a road accident along the Maharlika Highway in Candelaria town in Quezon province Thursday, police said.

A spot report from the Quezon police headquarters said bicycle rider Nathan Sales was accidentally bumped by a truck being driven by a still unidentified driver in Barangay Malabanban Sur around 2:30 p.m.

The victim suffered fatal head and body injuries and died on the spot.

The truck driver voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and was detained at the town police jail. Delfin T. Mallari Jr./lb
