Mocha claims some senators have phoned Andanar to stop her attacks

Some senators had phoned Communications Secretary Martin Andanar to stop Assistant Communications Secretary Mocha Uson from attacking them.

Uson herself made this claim in an interview with UNTV on Thursday, a day after she announced her resignation at a Senate hearing.

Initially, she claimed that some congressmen and senators, through Andanar, had asked her not to attack them or else, they would block the budget of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).

Later in the interview, however, Uson only mentioned senators as the ones supposedly making phone calls to Andanar.

“Talagang tinatawagan sya ng mga senador na: Ipatanggal mo yang video na yan kung hindi gagawin namin ang lahat para hindi ilabas ang budget nyo,” she said.

(The senators called him (Andanar) and demanded that the video be removed or the PCOO budget  will not be released).

“Bakit naman po ganun, di po ba?”

(Why is it like that?)

Pressed to identify the senators she was referring to, Uson just gave some clues.

One senator, she said, has always been the subject of memes because of her attire during the annual state of the nation address (Sona).

“Senador na laging mayroong meme sa Sona sa mga kasuutan nya, nagiging mukhang carpet, nagiging mukhang kurtina,” Uson said.

(Senator with a meme because of what she wore during the Sona. It made her look like carpet, a curtain).

She said the senator is a woman.

There are currently five female members of the Senate. They are Senators Nancy Binay, Grace Poe, Loren Legarda, Risa Hontiveros and Cynthia Villar. /muf
