Sen. Loren Legarda on Thursday said she will run for a seat in the House of Representatives to represent Antique in the mid-term elections next year.
Speaking at the Meet the Inquirer Multimedia forum, Legarda said she felt she had a lot of things to do and would like to achieve for the people of Antique.
Legarda is serving her second consecutive term as a senator and can no longer run for another Senate seat under the law.
“For the past 20 years I have been serving our country well and the world and I would like to continue being in parliament,” Legarda said.
“In doing so I can help all agencies of government and continue to do my global work with the UN. Yes I would like to continue being part of Congress,” she added.. /muf
