Homeless man dies in Camarines Sur road accident

PILI, Camarines Sur – A homeless man died early morning Thursday after he was run over by a truck being driven by a soldier, police said.

Private First Class Jay Ar Atian, assigned at the Army’s 22nd Infantry Battalion, was driving a truck when Loloy Suarez, 30, suddenly crossed the road about 5 a.m., causing the truck to run over him. Suarez died instantly, the police said.

The police also said Suarez was known as a street dweller in the area. An investigation continued as of Thursday morning. STEPHANIE FLORIDA
