Ejercito praises PCOO for improving PTV: ‘At least you’ll watch it now’
Despite some controversies hounding it, the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) still got praise on Wednesday from Sen. JV Ejercito for improving government stations.
Ejercito, who was presiding over the hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance on Wednesday, noted particularly the improvements of the People’s Television Network (PTV), which is on Channel 4 in Metro Manila.
“If there’s one thing that the PCOO under the Duterte administration has done, especially under Secretary Martin, was the improvement of government stations,” Ejercito said.
The senator was referring to Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, who also present in the hearing.
“At least, mukhang panonoorin na ng konti. Dati talagang hindi mo panoorin eh,” he said.
[At least, it looks like people will watch it. It used to be that you won’t really watch it.]

Andanar then informed the committee that from being ranked eighth among TV stations, PTV had climbed up to fourth.
Ejercito went on praising the PCOO, noting in particular the new look of the PTV studio.
“Talagang dati hindi mo papanoorin [ang Channel 4]. Sa set pa lang wala ka nang gana,” he said. “ Pero ngayon, mukhang bago na, mukhang maayos , mukhang international.”
“You really wouldn’t watch it. The sets alone wouldn’t attract you. But now, they look new, they look orderly, they look international.] /atm
