The resignation of Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has already reached President Rodrigo Duterte, Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go confirmed on Wednesday.
Go said Duterte received the resignation letter on Tuesday but the President would still announce his formal acceptance of Uson’s intent to resign.
“Natanggap na po. Antayin na lang natin formal acceptance. [The President has received the resignation letter. Let’s just wait for the formal acceptance],” Go said in a text message to reporters.
Uson announced her resignation during a Senate hearing on Wednesday following calls for her to step down amid several blunders including a lewd video on federalism. /jpv
