P680K worth of shabu seized in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY — Police drug operatives confiscated on Tuesday afternoon some P680,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from a high-value target in a drug operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur province, police report said.

The suspect, identified as Amelia Silvestre, alias “Madam Bibi,” of Barangay Cristo Rey in Iriga City, was arrested in  Barangay Balatas after selling shabu to undercover policemen at around 3:05 p.m. according to Supt. Errol Garchitorena, Naga City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) chief.

Police operatives seized from the suspect 100 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P680,000.

The suspect is now detained at the city detention facility while charges for violation of illegal drug possession and illegal drug pushing are being prepared against her. /ee
