Tricycle driver nabbed in Puerto Galera buy-bust

CITY OF CALAPAN – Police operatives arrested a tricycle driver during a buy-bust operation in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro on Monday afternoon.

Supt. Imelda Tolentino, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police information officer, said Efren Mesana, 42, a resident of Barangay (village) Balatero was accosted by members of the Puerto Galera Police’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Mimaropa in anti-drug sting around 3:30 p.m. in Barangay San Isidro.

Authorities said Mesana yielded 15 plastic sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) as well as the P1,000-bill used as buy-bust money.  /kga
