TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – Residents here flocked to the Commission on Elections office on Saturday, the last day of voters’ registration for the 2019 midterm elections.

People lined up as early as 6 a.m., two hours before the official start at 8 a.m. hoping to finish registering before it closes at 5 p.m.

Janrel Alagadmo, 19, a resident of Barangay Booy, decided to register for the first time upon the prodding of his father.

“The line was so long but we just had to bear this out because this would eventually be over,” he said.

The Comelec put up satellite registration centers at the barangay to encourage more people to register. But Alagadmo didn’t mind the deadline.

Some took their lunch while standing in the line. He regretted having to register on the last day.

Others had to return today since they did not get to finish their registration on Friday.

Some others went home out of frustration.
