2 most wanted drug suspects yield shabu, ecstacy in QC raid

Around P170,000 worth of shabu, plus P6,000 worth of party drug ecstasy have been seized by the police during a raid of a safehouse of suspected No. 1 and No. 2 most wanted drug personalities in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Reports from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Friday said that 42-year-old Roban Valenzuela and 40-year-old Philip Damian Alejo, ranked No. 1 and No. 2 most wanted drug personalities, respectively, were arrested through a search warrant in Bernarty Subdivision, Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches.

The Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 89 issued the search warrant for illegal drugs but another court, RTC Branch 77, had an outstanding arrest warrant issued against Valenzuela for a case of murder.

Two other suspects, identified as Mina Choi, 45, and Manoloto Santiago, 48, were also arrested during the operation after being found in possession of sachets of shabu.

Aside from the 23 sachets of shabu and another sachet of ecstasy tablets, the police also recovered plastic container with shabu traces, four rolled and two strips of aluminum foils, two water pipes, a glass tube and a steel pipe at the residence.

Authorities also found two rifle grenades, two cellphones, three lighters, and a belt bag from the suspects. They are now under the custody of the Novaliches Police Station. /jpv
