NBI must submit initial findings on ‘Red October’ by Oct. 1 – DOJ chief
Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Menardo Guevarra on Friday said the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has up to October 1 to submit its initial findings on the alleged “Red October” ouster plot against President Rodrigo Duterte.
According to the DOJ chief, the NBI has already started its investigation since the Palace has received information about the supposed plan.
“The probe started immediately after talks about the plot started circulating, Guevarra said.
“We take this matter seriously as ‘Red October’ may actually involve commission of crimes punishable under our penal laws,” he added. /kga
