3 suspected drug pushers fall in separate Lucena buy-busts

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three alleged drug pushers and seized P160,000 worth of crystal meth or shabu in separate buy-bust operations here Thursday and Friday.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives collared alleged drug peddler Eddie Arojo and his cohort Rhea Ramon, after the two sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Gulang-Gulang around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Lucena police chief Supt. Romulo Albacea, said in a report.

Police said Arojo is included in the list of drug pushers in the province.

“He (Arojo) was one of the remaining major suppliers of shabu to small drug pushers not only in Lucena but also in nearby towns,” a police agent said.

Authorities seized 16 plastic sachets of shabu weighing a total of 31.82 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P58,867. With the prevailing price of P5,000 per gram in the streets, the seized shabu is worth P159,100.

In a separate operation, police nabbed Rommel Lancion, in Barangay 4 around 3:20 a.m. Friday.

Lancion is also included in Lucena’s list of drug pushers, police said. He yielded six plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated DDB value of P1,295. /muf
