Troublemaker in viral video in Ecija may face charges, cops say

An enraged man armed with a metal stick who was seen in a viral video interrupting traffic flow in a road in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija may face charges, authorities said on Thursday.

Officers from the San Leonardo Police Station told INQUIRER.net that the still unidentified man may face alarm and scandal cases after he blocked the Tumana Road in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo.

The man, who was half-naked and was shouting and challenging another person who was not seen in the video, also struck his weapon in the ground, prompting motorists to turn back and avoid being involved in the confrontation.

The video was uploaded by a concerned citizen on Facebook on Tuesday.

However, when soldiers aboard a military truck going to Camp Tecson in San Miguel Bulacan passed by and called his attention, he fled.

Police said the suspect is not in their custody as of now, although he and the woman he was having a fight with were brought to the police station after the incident. /ee
