A total of 4,718 out of 6,070 examinees passed the September 2018 Medical Technologist licensure examinations, the Professional Regulatory Board (PRC) announced on Wednesday.
Lorenz Masajo Barro from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the licensure exams after posting a 92.10 percent rating.
Barro was followed by Rolter Lorez Mispeñas Lee, also from UST, with 91.80 percent and Eldy Villanoy Barrietos from the University of San Agustin with 91.70 percent.

Meanwhile, five schools shared the top spot among the best performing schools: Velez College University of San Agustin, Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City, Saint Louis University, and Cebu Doctor’s University. All five schools registered a 100 percent passing rate, the PRC said.
The PRC recorded the national passing rate at 77.72 percent for the 2018 examination.
Registration for the issuance of professional identification cards and certificates of registration will be conducted from October 4 to October 12. The registration would be done online via www.prc.gov.ph, the PRC said.
The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new successful examinees would be announced later, the PRC said. /muf
