The approval and performance ratings of key government institutions — the Senate, House of Representatives and the Supreme Court — significantly decline in the latest Pulse Asia nationwide survey.
The survey, conducted from September 1 to 7, showed that while all key government institutions enjoyed majority approval ratings, they all suffered percentage point drops ranging from 6 to 11 percentage points.
Filipinos gave the Senate a 63 percent approval rating, a six percentage point drop from 69 percent rating in June.
The House of Representatives got a lower approval rating in September with 56 percent from June’s 66 percent rating.
The Supreme Court also suffered a lower approval rating from 63 percent in June to 52 percent approval rating in September, an 11 percentage point drop.
The Senate remained on top with the highest approval rating among the three government institutions.
Pulse Asia disclosed that indecision concerning the work of the key government institutions became more notable with higher percentage points ranging from 6 percent to 11 percent increases from the June.
The survey showed that disapproval ratings of these government institutions range from 7 percent to 10 percent, with Senate getting a disapproval rating of 7 percent, the House with 9 percent and the Supreme Court with 10 percent. /jpv
