North Korean leader Kim Jong Un posed with the “finger heart” gesture along with South Korean officials on Mount Paektu, as seen on official photos published by the Blue House on Sunday.
Seoul Foreign Minister Kang-Hwa suggested the pose according to the Blue House’s official Twitter account. The finger heart is a hand gesture done by crossing the thumb and index fingers together and is usually seen in pictures of K-pop artists and fans alike.
To cap off their three-day summit, Kim met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and other officials at the peak of Mount Paektu, along the North Korea-China border on Thursday, Sept. 20.

The volcano is the highest peak in the Korean peninsula and is considered to be the “spiritual birthplace” of the Korean people.
In a joint press conference with Moon, Kim announced that North Korea will close a key missile facility under the presence of “international experts.”
After a brief signing ceremony on Wednesday, Kim and Moon addressed the media and vowed to bring peace to the Korean Peninsula once and for all. /je
