Suspect in September 16 GenSan blast nabbed
GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Authorities announced the arrest of the primary suspect in the September 16 blast here that wounded eight persons.
Supt. Aldrin Gonzales, spokesperson of the police regional office 12, identified the suspect as Jeffrey Panag Alonzo, a resident of Barangay Lapu, Polomolok town of South Cotabato.
Alonzo was arrested on Sept. 19 during a drug buy-bust operation in Polomolok, Gonzales said.

“The suspect was positively identified when he was shown to the witnesses of the IED explosion,” Gonzales said.
Charges of multiple frustrated murder were filed today against the suspect, he added.
