Authorities file criminal charges vs Sultan Kudarat blast suspects

Authorities on Wednesday  filed criminal charges against 13 suspects and several others tagged in the explosion in Sultan Kudarat on September 2.

Charges of double murder with multiple frustrated murder were filed against Esmael Pendatun Nawal (alias Gary), Esmael Abdulmalik (alias Abu Turaife), Imam Animbang (alias Kagul Karialan), Ismael Abubakar (alias Imam Bungos), Salahuddin Hassan, Nur Hassan (alias Andot/Abu Salman), Dudin Hassan, Making Hassan, Bashir Nilong, Mersidik Naway (alias Abu Mersid), Momong Ismael, Ali Solaiman, Carmen Usman, and several others for their alleged involvement in the explosion at an internet café along Valdez Street in Barangay Kalawag 2.

Based on the investigation of PRO 12 Special Investigation Task Group (SITG), the suspects “conspired together in the planning and execution on the placement” of the improvised explosive device placed inside “a white with red stripe bag,” which exploded inside the said establishment,

The explosion killed an 18-year old boy and injured seven people. /ee
