A day after the Manila campus of the Mapúa University was hit by a bomb threat, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila received a bomb threat sent through a text message.
The text message said a bomb was set to explode in the campus on Wednesday noon, said Anakbayan UST in a Twitter post.

“Dahil sa di natuloy ang aming pagsabi kahapon sa mapua university ay itutuloy namin ito sa ust manila sa dapit alas dose ng tanghali, ipasa ito at mabuhay ang new peoples army!” the text message read, as posted by Anakbayan-UST on Twitter.
A report from the Manila Police District said no explosives were found after a paneling operation was conducted by elements of the district’s Explosive and Ordnance Division (EOD) at 11:20 a.m.
Classes and work were not suspended as EOD personnel conducted the search for the reported explosives.
Manila Police said the bomb threat message was received by a first-year medical technology student.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday night, the Manila campus of the Mapúa University suspended its classes and office work following the bomb threat.
The bomb threat was found negative following an inspection of the Mapua campus by the Manila Police. /muf
