Bomb threat at Manila campus of Mapúa turns out to be false alarm

Mapúa University suspended classes and office work on Tuesday and advised students and employees to leave the school premises because of a bomb threat.

“Classes and office work in the Intramuros Campus are suspended today, September 18, 2018, due to a bomb threat. Everyone is required to leave the premises,” Mapua said on its official Twitter page on Tuesday.

The university made a similar announcement on its Facebook page.

ADVISORY:

But after a check by the police, the threat turned out to be a false alarm, prompting the school to issue another announcement that classes and work will resume the following day.

“Mapúa University Intramuros Campus is negative from any explosive and hazardous materials. Classes and office work in the Intramuros Campus will resume tomorrow, September 19, 2018,” the university said on its official Twitter page.
