In times of need, ordinary people can also become good Samaritans.
In a video uploaded by Baliwag Public Assistance and Complaint Center (PACC) on its Facebook page, an old man could be seen in the middle of an intersection begging for alms from motorists.
The old man could be seen limping and having difficulty crossing the road, causing a backlog of traffic.
A tricycle later on stopped, then the driver went down to help the old man off the road and into safety.
“Just in: Good Samaritan sa kasagsagan ng Bagyong Ompong,” Baliwag PACC posted on Facebook last Friday, referring to the typhoon that recently hit the country.
Baliwag PACC said they learned that the tricycle driver takes the route to Sta. Barbara, Baliwag in Bulacan./jpv
