Good weather expected starting Monday – Pagasa
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday that the country would have good weather starting Monday as Typhoon “Ompong” continued to move away towards Southern China.
“Sa susunod na dalawa o tatlong araw ay patuloy na itong makakaranas ng magandang panahon. Pagdating ng Lunes improved weather na tayo,” Pagasa weather specialist Gener Quitlong said in a press briefing on Sunday
.(In the next two or three days, the country will experience good weather. Come Monday, the weather will improve.)
As of 4 a.m., Sunday, Ompong was spotted at 480 km west-northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, while moving west-northwest towards Southern China.
Quitlong said western sections of Luzon and the Visayas would still experience scattered moderate to heavy rain on Sunday due to the typhoon’s cloud band and the southwest monsoon.
