BI bars Cameroonian with fake passport from entering PH

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) officers on Saturday barred a woman from Cameroon from entering the country after she showed a fake passport and travel documents at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

The woman was identified as Clarisse Nankia, 43, by Marc Red Mariñas, BI Port Operations Division (POD) chief and Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente reported.

Immigration officers intercepted Nankia on her arrival from Addis Adaba in an Ethiopian Airlines flight.

Mariñas said Nankia was deported on a flight back to the Africa country after presenting fake travel documents and a Guatemalan passport.

“She was immediately excluded and booked on the first available flight back to her port of origin after our immigration officers found that the Guatemalan passport and other travel documents she presented are fraudulent,” Mariñas said in a statement on Saturday.

Immigration officers doubted Nankia’s identity after she was unable to speak in Spanish, Guatemala’s official language. /atm
