Grab Philippines on Friday offered help for rescue missions during typhoon “Ompong” (international name: Mangkhut), lending two rubber boats to the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and local government of Marikina City.
“The rubber rafts are only stored in the warehouse originally for the emergency use of employees and transport network vehicle service (TNVS) partners. But we decided to lend it to the government to help more people,” Grab said in a statement.
Grab said it is also likely to buy more boats so it can further extend help in future rescue missions.
Grab then released the following hotline numbers for typhoon-related emergencies and concerns of their passengers and TNVS partners:
For passengers — Globe: 0966 815 5619 and Smart: 0929 199 3296
For TNVS partners — Globe: 09274079011 and Smart: 09497687711.
