WATCH: PNP awards model families of police officers

The National Police Commission (Napolcom), through the Philippine National Police (PNP), has awarded exemplary families of police officers on Friday during a ceremony held at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The 2018 Search for Model PNP Families aims to “promote the image of the PNP as a leader and partner of the community in bringing about social order and development,” a statement from Napolcom read.

Among the awardees are the families of Senior Police Officer (SPO) 4 Liza Jane Alteza from Region 5 as the most outstanding PNP family and of Police Supt. Ringo Zarzoso from Caraga region as 1st runner-up.

Also given the awards were the families of SPO4 Charles Cuaresma from Region 3 as 2nd runner-up; SPO1 William Padao from Region 11 as 3rd runner-up; and of SPO3 Leonardo Frias from Region 1 as 4th runner-up.

Cash prizes were also given to the awardees, according to Napolcom.

The event is a joint project of the Napolcom, PNP, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and other member-agencies of the National Crime Prevention Week Technical Working Committee. /jpv
