Sen. Antonio Trillanes can leave the Senate anytime, Malacañang said on Thursday after the opposition lawmaker said he would try to leave the chamber “quietly” pending the release of a warrant of arrest from the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC).
Trillanes on Thursday said he would quietly leave the Senate and would see if he would be arrested by the military.

If he gets arrested outside the Senate, Trillanes said it means that the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Duterte administration were not sincere with their pronouncements.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque branded Trillanes latest remarks as pure “drama.”
“[It’s just a ] drama. People [are] tired of him and of it,” Roque told INQUIRER.net in a text message.
Asked if the government could assure Trillanes that he won’t be arrested if he leaves the Senate building, Roque said, “No assurance required. Duterte has said so.”
During a Cabinet meeting in Jordan last week, President Rodrigo Duterte said he would “abide by the rule of law” and would wait for the issuance of a warrant of arrest before Trillanes is arrested.
