840 passengers stranded in Bicol, Eastern Visayas ports
A total of 840 passengers were stranded on Thursday in Bicol and Eastern Visayas ports due to Typhoon “Ompong.”
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that as of 11 a.m., 581 passengers were stranded at the ports of San Pascual, Pasacao, Tobaco, Bulan, Pilar, and Matnog in the Bicol region, while 259 passengers were stranded at the ports of Balwarteco, San Isidro, Jubasan (Northern Samar) and Daram (Western Samar) in Eastern Visayas.
