Barangay chairman shot dead in Ermita, Manila

A barangay chairman was shot dead in Ermita, Manila by a still unidentified gunman Thursday afternoon.

Angel Rivero Jr., chairman of Barangay 330 in Sta. Cruz was reportedly riding his motorcycle when he was shot by the suspect at Maria Orosa St. corner Finance Road, according to a report from dzMM.

Rivero reportedly came from a seminar on illegal drugs before he was shot.

Police investigators are already at the crime scene.  /muf
