The Manila police on Tuesday night entrapped a 49-year-old woman suspected of working as a courier for an officer who was arrested on drug charges two years ago.

Amelita Sabino, also known as “Panget,” was arrested after she allegedly sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent from the National Capital Region Police Office–Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (NCRPO-RDEU).

During the buy-bust operation at the corner of Palawan Street and Visayas Avenue in Sampaloc, Manila, Sabino yielded a total of 650 grams of the drug, investigators said.

According to the NCRPO chief, Director Guillermo Eleazar, Sabino worked for PO2 Jolly Aliangan, who was arrested in May 2016 for allegedly selling drugs supplied by a group whose leader was already serving time at New Bilibid Prison.
