Robbers take off with valuables, P250k cash in Muntinlupa home break-in

MANILA, Philippines—At least two robbers took off with valuables and cash worth over P250,000 by breaking into a man’s home in Muntinlupa City and then firing a gun to scare the victim, who was roused by the noise made by the robbers.

The robbers broke into the house of Ramon Chamorro in Soldiers Hills, Barangay (village) Putatan about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, said Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson, spokesperson of the Southern Police District, quoting a report from the Muntinlupa police station.

One of them pulled out a gun of an unknown caliber and fired it in an apparent attempt to scare the victim, who was renting the apartment, the report said. No casualties were recorded in the attack.
