Trillanes family ‘very very confident’ he would win amnesty case
Senator Antonio Trillanes on Tuesday said his family remains in “high spirits” despite the challenges he is facing after the amnesty granted to him by the previous administration was revoked.
Trillanes said his family is “very very confident” that he would win his case because the granting of the amnesty in 2011 was in order and he complied with all the requirements.
“Ever since, the family is in high spirits and very very confident that we will end up victorious in all of these, not only in legally, and morally more importantly,” Trillanes said in a press conference on Tuesday shortly after the Supreme Court rejected the senator’s petition for a temporary restraining order the implementation of Proclamation 572.

Proclamation 572, issued by President Rodrigo Duterte, states that the amnesty granted to Trillanes was invalid from the start (void ab initio) as he allegedly failed to apply for amnesty and admit his guilt.
