5 drug suspects arrested in Valenzuela buy-bust op

Police arrested five suspects in a buy-bust operation by Northern Police District (NPD) operatives in Barangay Pinalagad, Malinta, Valenzuela City, on Tuesday morning.

According to an NPD report, the operation was launched by its District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) and District Special Operation Unit (DSOU) after getting information about the proliferation of illegal drugs in the area.

Six sachets of shabu with an estimated value of P4,000 were recovered from Raymond Mia Macaso, 21; Eldrin De Asis, 39; Ronaldo Matados, 18; Jojo Briones, 33; and Rodelio Mia, 42, all residents of Area 4 of the Pinalagad Dumpsite in Valenzuela.

Drug paraphernalia and marked money amounting to P1,000 were also seized from the suspects, who are under the custody of NPD.

The five face charges for violating provisions of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /cbb
