DIGOS CITY – A member of the civil security unit of the provincial capitol in Davao del Sur and his live-in partner were shot dead Monday morning in Barangay Sinawilan in Matanao town, a police report said.
Gerry Blatang Diagan, 35, and his reported live-in partner, Florgelel Lao Flores, were on a Honda XR motorcycle heading towards Bansalan town when fired upon.
Chief Insp. Grace de Castro, provincial police spokesperson, said Matanao police were still in pursuit of the attackers.
Diagan was a regular employee of the province’s civil security unit while Flores worked as a job order employee. Both were residents of Sitio Santolan, Barangay Tres de Mayo, in this city. /cbb
