Man shot to death inside his car in Quiapo

A man was shot to death inside his car along Quiapo in Manila on Thursday evening.

Manila Police identified the victim as Almeric Carlo Aldaba, 49, a resident of Quezon City.

The police said based on the witness’ testimony, at around 9 p.m. on Thursday, the victim was inside his Isuzu Mux parked along Recto and Quiapo in Manila when a man wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, and ball cap approached the right front side of the car and shot the victim.

Then, the suspect reportedly walked toward San Sebastian Street, Quiapo.

A few minutes later, the victim’s daughter found her father unconscious and bloodied. She took him to UST hospital but the victim was pronounced dead at 9:55 p.m.

The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the neck and the right side of his body.

The motive of the killing is yet to be determined by the police. Authorities are still conducting an investigation.  /vvp
