“For the “KNOW IT ALLS” JPE and other senators who had warrants of arrest were never allowed to be arrested in d Senate,” he said.
He was apparently referring to former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, who along with former Senators Jingoy Estrada and Ramon “Bong” Revilla, had been charged and jailed in connection with the so called “pork barrel” scam.
“I know the history in the Senate since 1987. There was an attempt then yes, but never consumated, ” Sotto added.
Asked in a text message if he was responding to critics, the Senate leader answered yes.
“Mga tanga! Bakit daw yun mga ibang senators arrested sa Senate bakit daw ayaw kong payagan kay Trillanes. Mga nagdudunong-dunungan (Fools. They were asking why other senators were arrested at the Senate in the past but I would not allow the arrest of Trillanes. These know-it-alls…),” Sotto said. /ee
