5 held for ‘shabu’ in Tagum City

DAVAO CITY — Five persons were arrested after they were allegedly caught in a shabu session in Madaum Village, Tagum City about 6:55 p.m on Tuesday.

Police Chief Inspector Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of Police Regional Office 11, said the anti-narcotics team arrested Enrique S. Principe, Rogelio C. Melgazo, Loreto N. Ustan, Arnel T. Mercado, and Jetcyl L. Mango.

They were detained at the Tagum City police precinct, pending the filing of criminal charges against them.

She said, however, that the main subject of the buy-bust operation was Wilmar Pabaya, who eluded arrest.

Seized from the suspects were seven sachets of shabu, one open sachet that contains suspected shabu residues, and a set of drug paraphernalia. Mart Sambalud/lb
