Upcoming Apple One project
After kicking off their flagship project—Apple One Tower Cebu—homegrown developer Apple One Properties Inc. is set to launch another residential condominium property in Cebu next year and officially expand in the Mindanao and Luzon regions.
Apple One Properties Inc. president Ray Manigsaca said they will invest P2 billion next year for a residential project in the uptown area of Cebu to be launched in March next year.
“It will be a bigger project because it entails a double in our investment with our flagship project, which is Apple One Tower,” Manigsaca said.
He said it will feature midrise buildings with unit prices ranging from P1.2 million to P2.5 million.
Manigsaca said they are currently negotiating for a property within The Fort in Manila and another one in Cagayan de Oro where they plan to introduce more residential properties next year. “It is still under negotiation, but we are optimistic,” he said.
Manigsaca said they will focus on developing properties for the middle- to low-income earners, which will be the next target market for many developers in the next five years.
“With our new property to be developed here next year, there will be no reason for anyone not to own their own condominium unit,” he said. /Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
Visa center pushes Canada immigration
After Great Britain and New Zealand ceased accepting immigrant applications, a Cebuano visa processing company urged Cebuanos to apply for immigration to Canada.
“We already filed thousands of applications in the embassy. About 1,105 are with medical notices while 878 are now waiting for the release of their visas,” Nina Mabatid, chief executive officer and president of Pinoy Care Visa Center said.
In last Saturday’s orientation program held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Consul Francisco Benedicto, former undersecretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs, said there are now 500 million Filipinos in Canada working in various industries.
“Our caregivers earn at least Canadian $1,400 every month with contracts reaching to two years in Canada. We are well preferred there, and with this opening, it is a good opportunity for you to migrate in Canada,” Benedicto said.
Mabatid said they already helped 22 Cebuanos migrate to Canada working as nurses, cooks, physical therapists, pharmacists, engineers, chef, social workers, psychologists and plumbers.
“The issue actually is how to get there because there are abundance of jobs available for everyone in Canada,” said Mabatid.
To help more Filipinos even those who are abroad find better opportunities in Canada, Mabatid said they will soon be opening 10 more offices in Asia and Middle East regions. /Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
