The LPA was spotted 1,240 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Cavite, Batangas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Pagasa warned of possible floods and landslides due to the scattered rains and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have local thunderstorms. /muf
