Over P1.5 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) from two alleged big-time distributors in Novaliches, Quezon City on Monday.

Director Guillermo Eleazar, NCRPO chief, identified the suspects as Gerardo Babiera and Darwin Dimaano. They were arrested in an apartment on Berkeley Street at Barangay San Bartolome after they allegedly sold 25 grams of shabu for P65,000. A search later turned up an additional 225 grams.

Eleazar said that Babiera and Dimaano acted as distributors of big-time drug groups and operated in Caloocan and Quezon City.
