They danced and hugged each other on the floor as Senator Grace Poe celebrated her golden birthday on Monday night.
Poe’s sister, actress Lovi Poe, posted videos and photos of them together in her Instagram account, dancing to the tune of VST and Co.’s “Rock Baby Rock,” which ended with big hug from the senator.
“Love you ate,” the actress wrote in one of her Instagram photos, which showed her and the senator hugging each other.
“While to everyone else she may be Senator Grace, but to me, she is Ate Grace, my sister,” she said in her speech at a party held at the Whitespace Manila in Makati City.
Aside from Lovi, other family members, including the senator’s mom, veteran actress Susan Roces; her husband, Neil Llamanzares and their children Brian, Hanna, and Nikka were also present at the party.
Big personalities from entertainment and politics, as well as close friends of the senator also graced the event.
Senator Joel Villanueva posted photos in his Instagram page, showing him, Senate President Tito Sotto and wife Helen Gamboa, Senators Nancy Binay, Juan Miguel Zubiri, JV Ejercito, and Ralph Recto in a photo with Poe.
“What a night! Celebrating God’s goodness and faithfulness in the life of our dear colleague/ sister @sengracepoe Happiest birthday! God bless you more! #TeamSenate #FunFunFun #Vpositive” Villanueva said in his post.
Celebrities Albert Martinez, Eric Quizon, and Coco Martin, who stars in the television remake of the movie of Poe’s father, late King of Philippine movies Fernando Poe Jr., were also in attendance. /muf
