PILI, Camarines Sur – Another bomb exploded at Masbate City’s seaport just after midnight Monday, police said.

The Masbate police said residents reported a loud explosion at the port at about 12:30 a.m.

The blast damaged a white 25-foot fiberglass rescue speed boat of the Army, partially damaged a two-stroke engine gasoline and slightly damaged a white 25-footer rescue aluminum boat with marking “Coast Guard AB 186” near the Masbate Coast Guard office.

Recovered from the blast area were pieces of orange polyvinyl chloride pipes and parts of the speedboats. No one was reported hurt in the incident.

Last August 2, an improvised bomb also exploded in the same area. Two men were hurt and a Coast Guard speedboat was damaged.

Police are still determining the suspects behind the blasts. They have yet to establish if the two explosions were related. /cbb
