Within one week after the ticket was issued, the driver should proceed to the nearest Metrobank, Bayad Center or SM Bills Payment Centers, fill out the payment form based on the violation ticket details, and keep a copy of the receipt for future reference.
Pedestrians can also go to these outlets to settle payments for violations like littering and jaywalking. The same applies to motorists caught under the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s no-contact apprehension policy.
Those who fail to pay the fines may not be able to renew their driver’s license or vehicle registration at the Land Transportation Office.
If more than seven days have passed since the ticket was issued, the offender should proceed to the MMDA Redemption Office at the corner of Edsa and Orense Street in Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.
Proceed to Window 1 to pay the clearance fee, then go to Window 3 and wait for your name to be called for a summary of violations.
If the driver has three or less violations and he or she doesn’t want to contest them, proceed to Window 7 to pay the total amount of fines, then proceed to Window 8 for the clearing of violations.
Those who wish to contest the violation can raise the matter with the MMDA Traffic Adjudication Division.
Drivers with more than three unpaid violations should to go the Traffic Academy and obtain a Certificate of Attendance before proceeding to Window 7.
