More than 100 transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers urged the Land Transportation and Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Sunday to restore the P2 per minute charge of Grab Philippines.

Various TNVS leaders expressed hope that LTFRB Chair Martin Delgra would keep his word when he announced during a committee hearing that the P2 per minute charge would be restored any time this week.

If not approved, the TNVS leaders would continue to appeal to the board to the lift the suspension of the P2 per minute charge.

Caromongan added.

Delgra allegedly promised to restore the P2 charge in reaction to an order by lawmakers during a transport committee hearing last Thursday.

However, the LTFRB chair clarified that the board had not come up with a decision whether to reimpose the charge, which was still under consideration.

TNVS leader Winson Esteras, president of CTPro, reiterated that the charge was legal and that Delgra would reimpose the added charge.

The TNVS leaders said they would wait if the LTFRB would restore the charge this week. /cbb
