A debutant opted to dance with her father at the airport after he failed to come on time to her birthday party due to delayed flights caused by a Chinese jetliner that skidded off a runway on August 17.
In a video posted on Facebook, Lindsay Limon is seen dancing with her father Noel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia), where several flights were canceled due to the incident.

“Dapat talaga isu-surprise nila ako sa debut ko na darating si papa kaso na-delay ‘yung flight niya nang ilang beses tapos hindi nakaabot,” she said in her post about her 18th birthday on August 18.
(They were supposed to surprise me in my debut that my father will attend but his flight was delayed many times so he failed to come on time.)
Lindsay said her dad only wanted to come back to the Philippines from Kuwait for her debut celebration. He arrived, however, at 12:50 a.m. of August 19.
The party was over at that time, so Lindsay decided to go straight to the airport to not miss the moment of dancing with her dad.
“After ng debut ko diretso na agad sa airport. Di man nakaabot, nakasayaw naman kaming dalawa. [Ang] sarap sa feeling,” she said cheerfully.
(After my debut, I went straight to the airport. Even if he didn’t make it, at least we were able to dance. It really feels good.)
Asked how it felt to dance with her dad in such a unique setting, she told INQUIRER.net, “That moment was priceless. Sobrang sarap sa feeling. Nakakaiyak and at the same time nakakagalak. I felt so happy, nawala pagod ko.”
(That moment was priceless. It feels so good. It made me cry and at the same time, I was joyful. I felt so happy, my tiredness faded away.)
Lindsay said she didn’t mind the people around watching them, and said she “just wants to make [his] father happy.”
She also thanked her father for all his efforts working as an OFW for the family.
“Salamat sa lahat ng efforts mo. I love you… Alam ko ginagawa mo lahat para samin ng mga kapatid ko. Isa kang ama na gugustuhin ng lahat. ” she said.
(Thank you for all your effort. I love you. I know you’re doing everything for me and my siblings. You’re the father that everyone would want.)
“Saludo ako sayo sa pagiging matiyaga mo (I salute you for your endurance). Thank you, pa, you never failed to make me happy. Mahal na mahal kita (I love you so much.)” /jpv, je
