Two men were killed in a police operation that followed an alleged robbery incident at a burger store in Quezon City on Saturday.

Police said the slain suspects first robbed a customer in a Burger Machine outlet along General Luis Nova, taking his belongings, including a cellphone and cash worth P1,500, around 2:45 a.m.

The victim reported the incident to authorities, prompting police to launch a manhunt.

Police caught up with the suspects, who were on board a motorcycle. Police said the suspects fired at them first and this led to a shootout. The two men were killed on the spot.

Recovered from the scene were two short firearms and the motorcycle used by the suspects, according to the police report.
