Robbery suspects killed in QC

Two men were killed in a police operation that followed an alleged robbery incident at a burger store in Quezon City on Saturday.

Police said the slain suspects first robbed a customer in a Burger Machine outlet along General Luis Nova, taking his belongings, including a cellphone and cash worth P1,500, around 2:45 a.m.

The victim reported the incident to authorities, prompting police to launch a manhunt.

Police caught up with the suspects, who were on board a motorcycle. Police said the suspects fired at them first and this led to a shootout. The two men were killed on the spot.

Recovered from the scene were two short firearms and the motorcycle used by the suspects, according to the police report.

Police said the victim affirmed that the slain suspects were those who robbed him. /kga
