A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted early Saturday morning at Borongan City in Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa said the LPA was spotted at 200 kilometers north northeast of Borongan City.

A ridge of a High Pressure Area, meanwhile, would be affecting the extreme Northern Luzon, it reported.

The state weather bureau also said Typhoon “Jebi,” which remains out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, is at 1,945 kilometers East of Aparri, Cagayan.

It has maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 255 kph and moves west northwest at 25 kph.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, and Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought by localized thunderstorms.
