LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a notorious drug pusher, who was out on bail, and three other suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) peddlers in buy-bust operations here Wednesday and Thursday, police said.
Supt. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said anti-drug operatives, acting on information from concerned citizens and drug surrenderers, busted Nelson Surquia, 63, after he sold shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Cotta around 12:45 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities seized five sachets of shabu weighing six grams worth P30,000 in the street market.
Surquia was first arrested on April 3 when police raided his house in the same village and seized P12,000 worth of shabu packed in 13 sachets. He posted bail for his temporary freedom.
