Fire guts 54 houses in Lanao del Norte town

LINAMON, LANAO DEL NORTE – A three-hour fire that broke out at 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday razed 54 houses and commercial buildings in Purok 1 Poblacion village here.

Mike Razo, chief municipal disaster risk reduction management office here, said they would house the affected families at the Linamon Sports Plaza as the Bureau of Fire Protection was still investigating the incident.

No casualty or injured persons were reported.

A fire also broke out in Sitio (sub-village) Pendugangan, Tipanoy village in Iligan almost at the same time that the Linamon fire was reported. Richel V. Umel/lb
