LOOK: PDEA training a ‘new breed of drug busters’

The 13th batch of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents has started training at the PDEA Academy in Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.

The 145 agent-trainees, including 18 women, will undergo a six-month training on drug law enforcement, according to a statement from PDEA on Tuesday.

“PDEA is training and molding a new breed of drug busters with these 145 new trainees,” Director General Aaron Aquino said.

According to PDEA, more than a thousand applicants have vied for the training but only a few have passed qualifying examinations.

The pre-qualifiers included a background investigation, as well as neuro-physical, medical, and physical tests. /vvp
