Cops nab 2 in Malabon City drug bust

The Northern Police District (NPD) on Monday night arrested two men in a buy-bust operation in Malabon City.

Jerrizaldy Perez, 40, and Bernardo Besa, 39, were arrested in a bust along Champaca Street in Barangay Longos at around 11:30 p.m, according to a police report on Tuesday.

Agents of the District Special Operation Unit (DSOU) and District Drug Enforcement Unit of the NPD confiscated from the scene six small sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) with estimated street value of P5,000 and the bust money of undisclosed amount.

Police said the suspects were brought to the DSOU for disposition, while the recovered evidences were taken to the Crime Laboratory Office of Camp Crame in Quezon City for examination.

Drug charges are being prepared for filing against the suspects at the Malabon City Prosecutor Office, the report read. /cbb
